The Hatteras Marlin Motel

Arrival – Arrival time is after 3:00 P.M.

Age- At least one member of the party must be a minimum of 21 years of age to book a reservation and must be present during the entire duration of the stay.  Registered guest will be responsible for all members of their group.

Reservation Deposits -  A deposit equal to the nightly rate  plus 11.75% tax is required on all reservations, except on holiday weekends. For holiday weekends and special events, a 2-night deposit and minimum stay will be required. All monies are to be paid in full prior to check in or at arrival.

Cancellation- Must be made 48 hours before arrival or you will forfeit your entire deposit. Cancellations for reservations for 6 or more rooms must be made 1 week prior to arrival or entire deposit will be forfeit. Cancellation must be made by phone; email is not acceptable. Reservation transfers are treated as cancellations. There is a cancellation fee of $10 per room anytime after the reservation is processed. 

Rates- All accommodation rates are for double occupancy and are quoted per day not per person.
Each additional person is charged $10 per night (excluding suites). All rates are subject to an 11.75% state and local sales and occupancy tax. Rates, fees and policies are subject to change without notice.

Payments - All outstanding balances are payable at time of check-in. VISA, Master Card, cash and traveler’s checks are the only forms of payment permissible at check-in.

Departure- Departure time is 11:00 am.  Late checkouts are not permitted for any reason.  An additional fee will be charged to guests who do not abide by this policy.

Smoking – We have designated smoking and non-smoking guest accommodations.  Smoking is only permitted in accommodations that are designated “smoking”, on porches and open area.  Violation of this policy will result in an additional fee of $150.00 per room. Other charges may also apply if there is   extra cleaning required to prepare the accommodation for the next guest.

Children – The Hatteras Marlin Motel welcomes children of all ages.  Children twelve and under stay free with paying adult.  

Pets – We apologize, The Hatteras Marlin Motel is unable to accommodate pets of guests or visitors.  No pets are permitted on the premises at any time.

Pool- We offer use of our pool strictly for motel guests. The pool is open May 15 thru October
15, weather permitting. Pool hours are 10 am to 10 pm.

Parking- Parking is on a first come first serve basis, which also includes parking in the lawn area for large vehicles and boats.

Special Note of Interest - Occasional check-in delays may occur during times of heavy departure due to the special attention given to each accommodation. Our staff will do everything possible to make you comfortable during that time.

Notice To All Guests- This property is privately owned and the management reserves the right to refuse services to anyone.  We will not be responsible for loss of money, jewelry or valuables.  We are not responsible for any malfunction or failure of electronic devices, technology or appliances during your stay. If a specific room is desired we will try our best to accommodate your wishes However, scheduling does not always permit for designated rooms. Handicap requests take precedence.
